Club Rules/Terms & Conditions

Our Club Rules/Terms & Conditions

  1. A gymnast enrolment form must be completed and returned before the relevant gymnast takes part in a gymnastics class. In the case of re-enrolment for a new term, the relevant form and fee must be sent to the Class Secretary by the date specified. Failure to do so may result in the gymnast losing their place in the class.
  2. No refunds will be given after the term has started.
  3. It is the responsibility of the parent to inform the Club if any details on the Enrolment Form change.
  4. All gymnasts at our main St. John venue must hold British Gymnastics Association membership. This provides annual insurance cover.
  5. Gymnasts should not be dropped off in the car park or building entrance unless a coach is present. Responsibility for the gymnast will only pass to the coach once the gymnast's presence has been made known to the coach.
  6. Gymnasts must arrive promptly before the start of their class to enable them to go to the toilet and prepare for the session. Late arriving gymnasts disrupt the class and may not be permitted to take part in the session.
  7. Gymnasts must wear suitable attire. Baggy clothes or clothes with loose parts are not permitted. Jewellery is not permitted. Long hair must be tied back.
  8. Gymnasts must not enter the gym unless a coach is present and has been made aware of their presence.
  9. Gymnasts must behave in an acceptable manner. Bullying will not be tolerated. Inappropriate behaviour may result in exclusion from the gym.
  10. Parents or guardians are requested, where possible, to inform the relevant coach if a gymnast is unable to attend a session.
  11. The use of cameras and mobile phones is not permitted in the gym except in certain circumstances by an authorised coach, or where use has been permitted for a specific event and the user has been registered.
  12. Parents and guardians must not distract the gymnasts during their gymnastics session.
  13. Personal items must not be left unattended in the gym. All items left are at the owner's risk and the Club accepts no responsibility for loss or damage.
  14. No food or drinks are permitted in the gymnastics hall. Water in a sports flask or bottle can be kept in the changing room.
  15. For insurance reasons, only authorised persons are permitted in the gymnastics hall when a gymnastics session is in progress. However, persons may assist with the erecting and dismantling of equipment at the beginning or end of a session.
